    ILCA (Laser) National Championships 2022

    The 18th -22nd July saw over 250 ILCA (Laser) sailors gather at Hayling Island Sailing Club for the National Championships 2022. Four Bosham Sailing Club members participated: James Curtis, Emma Curtis and Alex Strassberg-Alonso in the ILCA 6 (Laser Radial) George Ellis-Miller in the ILCA 7 (Laser Standard) It was a fabulous event, demonstrating why the ILCA is so popular and going from strength to strength.     The Commodore's Invitational Regatta 2022

    Somehow or other I was lucky enough to blag myself a place on the BSC team sailing J70's at the Commodore's Invitational Regatta 2022 held at the Royal Yacht Squadron (Cowes), last weekend. I'm not quite sure how BSC made the invite list as all the other teams, apart from Itchenor and Beaulieu River, were from the 'Royal' sailing clubs scattered around the British Isles.     SCOW Nationals 9th & 10th July 2022

    A very successful Chichester Scow Nationals was held last weekend. 13 Scows took part over two days. After four very varied and exciting races Izzie Lee won the Championship Plate, Martin Windebank came 2nd and Jen Eldredge in 3rd place. Scow members enjoyed a delicious dinner on Saturday evening and Pam Sweet and her team provided a very welcome afternoon tea after racing on Sunday.
