Learn to Cox with Mike Gilbert

A morning of excellent fixed seat coxing tuition from Mike Gilbert . The session is suitable for both novice and experienced rowers and is aimed at getting more coxes in the Club. The course will be shore based and on the water so come prepared to go afloat. The first part of the morning will take place in Bosham Sailing Club and then the plan is to go afloat from the slip as usual. The provisional programme is below:

09.00 Introductions

09.15 Workshop "What Does the Cox Do? (Risks & Safety Plans, Crews, Language, Navigation, BSC SOP)

10.30 Break

10.45 Practical session on the water, launching from the slip

12.00 Wrap Up and Feedback (in the Clubhouse)
