Where? C11 - Bosham Sailing Club Boat Park
Eleana has been our family boat for 25 years, and is in need of some care and attention from a new owner. A beautiful wooden boat built in 1962 and in use ever since. To be honest, we have done a lot of repairs to the hull – sealing the keel, patching damaged areas, rebuilding the centre board casing and sealing the seams. But she still let in water a bit when we last sailed her and she has been in the boat park idle for all last season. You could sail her and improve her. Metal mast, new wooden boom, decent cover, decent cruising sails and a very good set of racing sails (and for nostalgia the original 1962 sails as well). New centreboard, original rudder, centre rigging and sound bouyancy bags. Trolley and old but little used Tohatsu Outboard. We’d love to see someone enjoying sailing her.
Wayfarer Mk 1 built in Essex, wood, front tank, rear tank and hatch, side benches, thwart, new decks, deck mounted fairleads and jammers, centre rigged mainsheet with ratchet block, bouyancy bags, metal pin stepped mast, wooden boom, rope kicking strap, new halyards, good stainless steel rigging.
