Helping the Community - Cobnor Activities Centre Trust
Published 12:31 on 12 Feb 2025
One of BSC's neighbours is Cobnor Activity Centre Trust (CACT). No doubt you have seen their instructors teaching local children at the end of Cobnor Point or sailing Hawk 20's in the Harbour. Every year the Centre helps thousands of local children from all different backgrounds build their confidence and realise their potential through outdoor adventure.
Their climbing wall has reached the end of its life and the Centre, a registered charity, is fund raising to build a climbing facility which will offer so much more. The new facility will have two climbing walls, a 'Jacob's Ladder', Gladiator Challenge and Crate Stacking. The facility offers multiple opportunities for all children irrespective of ability or skill level to reach their potential. It will also be great for birthday parties!
We need to raise £45,000 to complete the project.
If you can donate please do so through the funding raising page: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/helping-all-children-reach-higher
To find out more please contact Jeremy Drummond, BSC Finn Class Captain and CACT trustee, who will be happy to show you around the Centre and explain how this will positively impact the children in the local community.
