Helping the Community - Cobnor Activities Centre Trust
One of BSC's neighbours is Cobnor Activity Centre Trust (CACT). No doubt you have seen their instructors teaching local children at the end of Cobnor Point or sailing Hawk 20's in the Harbour. RYA Powerboat Level 2 Places are still available on the Powerboat Level 2 RYA training, 19th and 20th February from 09:30 to 16:00. At BSC we recommend that all patrol boat drivers are PB2 standard. Abandoned boats in dinghy park
Over the last weeks we have identified a number of boats left in the dinghy park that we have not been able to trace current ownership for, or whose last registered owner at the club has not responded to email requests or phone calls. Maintenance Works at the Club - update 5th February
The downstairs flooring replacement is in full progress. Unfortunately in the course of stripping out the old floor the contractors found an area which has been tested and confirmed as asbestos. We have engaged a company to remove affected areas but this work will likely delay reopening by a week or two.
